Medical Research Shows That Cannabinoids Can Reduce Pain

Cannabidiol or cbd for dogs oil is the pure, distilled, concentrated form of THC, the compound found in marijuana or recreational cannabis. Cannabidiol also known as hemp weed is another name given to it by growers and herbalists. Cannabidiol was isolated from the leaves of a cannabis plant, called the cannabis sativa. It is a powerful, phytoestrogen (a hormone that causes feminization), which explains its ability to reduce nausea and appetite in medical studies conducted on animals. It was also found to have anti-cancer activity.

Cannabidiol belongs to a family of chemical compounds called phytocannabinoids, meaning “plant marijuana”. Cannabidiol has been discovered relatively recently and is currently undergoing clinical trials to be used against neurological and cancer disorders. In one study found in the Journal of Neurochemistry, cannabidiol was shown to protect the human brain cells from chronic mild cognitive impairment, a type of reversible neurodegenerative Alzheimer’s disease. The sativex treatment included two components, the primary components are CBD and the satire itself. There was an increase in the number of neurons in the hippocampus, the region of memory and learning.

The sativex treatment for chronic pain associated with neuropathic pain was effective in patients with chronic or recurrent pain. The clinical trial, conducted at the University of Florida, also showed that patients taking part in the native treatment had a reduction in their nausea when compared to those who were taking place in a placebo arm. In the trial, one hundred and sixty-three chronic pain patients were randomly assigned to four groups, each receiving a placebo and two grams of cannabidiol/cbd oil or sativex. One of the groups also received an additional three grams of CBD.

According to the National Institute of Health, the primary health benefits of CBD come from the reduction of seizures and other symptoms that can be caused by epilepsy. According to the American Pain Foundation, “CBD may help reduce the side effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), an anxiety disorder common among veterans, teenagers, and infants.” It also helps reduce the symptoms of nausea and sleep disorders. The Canadian Pain Clinic has noted a reduction in patients’ need for conventional pain medication, due to the positive results of CBD treatments. The researchers at the University of Toronto in Canada have concluded that CBD “holds promise as a natural remedy for disorders linked to brain inflammation such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and chronic pain.”

Other experts believe that CBD can help improve the chances of survival for people with either neuromuscular or psychiatric diseases. These experts include Michael Yapko, a professor of medicinal sciences at the University of South Florida who specializes in neurology, and neurologist George Perakis, who are the president of the Perinatal Brain Institute at the University of Miami. The recent study from the University of Toronto researchers states that “neuropathic pain” may benefit from CBD: “the treatment seems to have some mild pain relief properties,” the researchers write in the journal Clinical Psychological Review. Other recent studies on CBD and pain have been conducted in hospitals and nursing homes.

In conclusion, it appears that there are some promising health benefits of CBD oil. We cannot say for sure whether CBD is helpful in reducing nausea and epilepsy, or other health problems. However, this latest evidence does show that this oil may be useful for people with chronic pain. People with these types of problems should consider trying it, as long as they don’t use cannabis products like marijuana. The risk of addiction is greater with cannabis products like marijuana, which can be smoked, ingested, or injected.
